Vedanta Ltd fell 9% today to trade at Rs 101.1. The S&P BSE Metal index is down 5.31% to quote at 7603.42. The index is down 23.99 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Tata Steel Ltd decreased 6.14% and NMDC Ltd lost 5.59% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went down 31.04 % over last one year compared to the 0.99% fall in benchmark SENSEX.
Vedanta Ltd has lost 30.08% over last one month compared to 23.99% fall in S&P BSE Metal index and 11.75% drop in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 2.66 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 11.68 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 195 on 08 Apr 2019. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 100.4 on 09 Mar 2020.
