SEBI has made it mandatory for all research analysts to collect KYC details from their paid clients.
As part of the KYC, PAN number is compulsory. It is required to verify your identity and maintain compliance records.
Aadhaar number is not mandatory. If you prefer not to share your Aadhaar, that’s completely fine. However, PAN is required without exception to complete the KYC.
Apart from PAN, if you’d like to provide another valid ID proof like a passport, voter ID, or driving license, that can also be accepted – but PAN is still a must.
