Coal India is currently trading at Rs. 136.40, up by 2.90 points or 2.17% from its previous closing of Rs. 133.50 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 135.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 137.20 and Rs. 134.90 respectively. So far 191221 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 217.90 on 05-Nov-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 119.25 on 26-Mar-2020.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 143.20 and Rs. 130.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 83474.16 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.13%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.07% and 3.73% respectively.
Coal India has reported rise in its production by 7.1% to 37.17 million tonnes (MT) in August 2020 compared to 34.70 MT of coal in August last year. The company’s offtake also increased 9.3% to 44.34 MT in August from 40.57 MT in the corresponding month of the previous fiscal. However, the production in the first five months of 2020-21 dropped to 195.54 MT from 210.15 MT of coal produced in the April-August period of the previous fiscal.
